- Rom, While I get your point, the Civil War was more about economics and power (States' Rights) than it was directly about slavery. The ecomony of the southern states was predicated on the free labor provided through slavery.

- Roger, here is the issue... We all (most of us, anyway) recognize that there is a trade-off between privacy and security/safety. The difficulty is that it is OUR trade-off, but the government is unilaterally deciding the extent of the trade.

- Tom Dog, I wonder if we can find out something about the person who will have to die in order for her to get this lung. While I certainly wish her the best, she doesn't "deserve" a lung transplant anymore than the person whose place she is taking. The system is not corrupt.
